Codex

Twelve years after the release of Lydia caused quite a stir, Miranda published her second autobiographical novel in 2004. With this book, author took a very different, innovative approach to both, the content and the process of creating the novel: the content was spoken, chapter by chapter, alternately to two small groups of audience, women and men separately. Chapters follow those in Kahlil Gibran’s Prophet wherein the topics are approached from Miranda’s rather unique perspective which is then illustrated with her findings, dreams and events she had experienced since her previous novel. The book was, and still is, intended as the new code of ethics for the new time, hence the title – The Codex (Kodeks; the book is written in Slovene language and pending translation to English).
