Multimedia artist Miranda Rumina premiered an extensive series of collages titled Modern Angels in the Tibetan Pavilion in Auroville, India, in 2007. For the exhibition MED VELIKANI / AMONG THE GREAT ONES in Kranj, she invited Kranj-based fashion designer and artist Tina Pavlin to collaborate. Pavlin added original stitching to the printed reproductions of the collages, creating an effect similar to graphics or drawings, while Rumina completed the canvas with painting. The exhibition presents the first seven works, which were created - and will continue to be created - at the same pace: one canvas per month. The present time requires new challenges and universal qualities embodied by the world giants depicted on the canvases. Both individuals and civilization as a whole are discovering new patterns bestowed upon us by the greatest, most perfect, and most sacred figures throughout history.
